ABOUT US
The Eye Physicians and Surgeons Association of Alberta (EPSAA) is a non-profit organization committed to promoting the study of ophthalmology, enhancing eye care in Alberta, advancing research on eye diseases, and advocating for exceptional eye and vision care in our province. EPSAA has maintained its registration status since 1978 and transitioned from its original name, the Ophthalmological Society of Alberta (OSA), to better align with our association’s mission in 2010.
Our membership includes practicing ophthalmologists, resident physicians specializing in ophthalmology, and honorary members, which include retired ophthalmologists.
Our association plays a crucial role in representing ophthalmologists in Alberta during negotiations with key organizations, such as the Alberta Medical Association, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, the Canadian Ophthalmological Society, and others, on matters pertaining to EPSAA and our members.
